In junior high, we continue to build on student independence and personal responsibility in studies, activities, and self-advocacy to foster our students’ growth into respectful individuals in all aspects of life. The cultivation of our faith life continues in our preparation for the sacrament of Confirmation. We plan and participate in prayer services, service projects, and school-wide service and fundraising opportunities during Catholic Schools’ Week. We maintain our participation in the buddy program to partner with younger grades to promote leadership and learning opportunities.
Grammar, writing, and vocabulary are integral in the ELA program and students see a variety of writing styles. Students take Spanish for three years. In math, each grade builds on previous skills and grouping is used to place students in pre-algebra, algebra, and geometry. Our students have opportunities for classroom and public speaking, and access to the performing arts through the parish children’s choir and drama program participation. Our students are prepared for the rigor of high school and grow to become leaders of their chosen high schools.
